The Thyme Garden
We're getting married at a beautiful herb garden in the lush mountains of Alsea, between Corvallis and the Oregon coast. We'll put more pictures of The Thyme Garden as we go along with the planning, but for now you can check out their website and just know this: for all who are up for it, we'll be camping the night of the wedding! So bring your tents and bags, and be ready for a night under the stars! Also, just as a warning, everything is going to take place outside and on the grass. It shouldn't be too muddy in August, but things may be a little squishy anyway!

If you're looking for directions to it, check out the Out of Towners page from the menu on the left.
Dress
We're getting a lot of questions about what to wear, so here you go: as near as we can tell (and according to the fashion guru's at about.com), "dressy casual" is probably the best term for what most people will be comfortable: khakis, jeans, and sun-dresses should work well. We'll be sitting on park benches for dinner and dancing on grass. Rumor has it that Ashley's dad will be done-up in his cowboy duds, so whatever you feel comfortable wearing in a rustic location will be great. For those who are planning on camping with us or at least staying late, be aware that Alsea is in the coast range, so it can get pretty chilly at night, even in August.

This picture is just above the platform. The beds in the foreground are already filled with flowering herbs this time of year.

Another view of the platform. There are herbs everywhere!

This is where the bar is often setup. The reception area will be right behind it, and there will be twinkly lights strung above the whole area.
