As many of you know, we're High School sweet hearts (cue the "aws"). The first time Zach remembers seeing Ashley is on stage. Ashley had the lead in "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever," and Zach was doing sound. He also helped out with lights and ran the spot light for all of Ashley's monologues. Ashley's crush on Zach started when she saw him in "What the Bellhop Saw," the year after that. But it wasn't until our senior year that we even got to know each other. Zach started hanging out with Ashley's best friend Stella.

One night when Zach, Stella and some others were sitting around talking about who they liked, and when Zach mentioned that he liked Ashley, Stella subtly suggested that he "should do something about that." So, the next week Zach asked Ashley to go see the movie "Life is Beautiful," then he sang a song that he had written for her and we were both smitten. The early days were all wine and raspberries, like when Ashley's mom took her to the doctor and the doctor diagnosed her as "love-sick," or when Zach met Ashley's parents for the first time while he was skipping class to make her a present. Now it's been 8 years and we've decided that after having to spend more than two years apart while each of us went to school, we want to spend as much time as possible together!
