The year before last, we made plans to spend the holidays with Ashley's family in the Netherlands, and to do some traveling around Europe while we were there. Realizing that he would have an opportunity that many a 'getting ready to pop the question' guy would give dearly for, Zach decided to go for it.

So somewhere around midnight on the winter solstice in Paris, Zach convinced Ashley, half asleep and cold, that they just had to see the Eiffel Tower before they left Paris the next morning. And so it was there, with his heart laying seige to his ribcage, that Zach proposed to Ashley.
